Will not accept impeachment' says UNP

Addressing a function held in Kandy General Secretary of the United National Party MP Thissa Aththanayeke added that the UNP does not concede the fact that the impeachment motion was passed in parliament yesterday.





The Lanka Smama Samaja Party states that it is drawing up plans to discuss the course of action which should be implemented against fellow party member Parliamentarian Y.G. Pathmasiri, who voted in favour of the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice yesterday.


According to party sources the Central Committee of the LSSP is due to convene next week in order to decide if disciplinary action would be implanted against  parliamentarian Y.G. Pathmasiri.
