Minister Yapa speaks of the sole option

Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee that looked in to the impeachment against the Chief Justice Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa stated that since the impeachment procedure was carried out according to law, the international community had no right to object it.


The Minister stated that the President had the responsibility of taking the final decision regarding the impeachment report.




Meanwhile, speaking at a meeting that was held in Kundasale yesterday UNP General Secretary MP Tissa Attanayake stated that the government is disregarding Court rulings.


However, Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella expressed the following views regarding Latimer House policies.
