Protest observed in Kalawana against relocation of primary school

Parents of students receiving education at the Kalawana National School are currently engaged in a protest before the school expressing their dissent against a proposed move to vacate the primary section of the school.

According to our correspondents as a result of the protest vehicular traffic along the Rathnapura-Kalawana route has been severly hampered.

Parents engaged in the protest demanded that authorities take immediate steps

to re-establish the primary section of the school in as short time as possible.
