Legal Luminaries express views on impeachment

Subsequent to the appointment of the newly appointed Chief Justice Mohan Peiris the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Lawyers Association & the Independent Young Attorneys Association had called in two media briefings in Colombo today.

General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Lawyers Association Champani Padmasekara expressing her views during the media briefing made the following statements.


Meanwhile Secretary of the Sri Lanka Independent Young Attorneys Association Manoj Gamage asserted that investigations should be launched on individuals who acted in a manner detrimental to the judiciary.
