Corrupt individuals will be punished irrespective of their stature; President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa states that corrupt individuals would be meted out punishments despite their stature.


Speaking further during the inaugural ceremony of the Dikowita fisheries port the president noted that the government was acting in accordance with the constitution & was bound to protect its democracy.




Construction of the Dikowita fisheries port, which is incidentally South East Asia's largest was funded by partly by the government of Sri Lanka & Netherlands.


The total cost spent on the construction of the Dikowita fisheries port stands at 9.01 billion rupees.


Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the port president Rajapaksa also expressed these views.
