The government says that the US adopted a double standard policy with regard to the impeachment.

Meanwhile, Press & Information Officer of the U.S. Embassy for Sri Lanka & Maldives Chris Elms states that a high profile state delegation would be arriving in the island next week.

 

The group is said to consist of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State James Moore, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Vikram Singh, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Jane Zimmerman.
