Allegations by the JHU regarding an essay competition

The JHU are stating that there is a ploy to convert non Islamic children to the religion of Islam.

Speaking to our news team leader of the JHU Venerable Omalpe Sobitha thero stated that an essay competition organized by the Muslim Religious and Cultural Centre is the reason for this.

Speaking further Sobithe thero stated that this essay competition was advertised on national newspapers on the 18th and 19th of September of last year and that this would interfere with cooperation between religions.


Our news team attempted to inquire from the head of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama M.I.M. Rizvi Mufth with regard to the allegations made by the JHU.

However, in response to our inquiries, the personal secretary of M.I.M. Rizvi Mufth stated that he had not received any news regarding such an allegation.
