Another oil leak

The Kolonnawa Oil storage facility states that a leak has occurred in a pipeline that transports oil used in ships.


Speaking to our news team media spokesperson of the Kolonnawa oil storage facility Nissanka Jayawardena stated that the leak had occurred yesterday.


The pipeline transports oil from the Colombo port to the oil storage complex in Blohmendal.


Although the residents of the Railpara watta in Blohmendal has informed the authorities regarding the leak, according to our correspondent no official has reached the place in question.


Speaking further the media spokesperson for the Kolonnawa Oil Storage facility Nissanaka Jaywardena stated that the leak has not occurred in one of the pipes belonging to the CPC.
