Cabinet reshuffle most likely to take place tomorrow; MP Padmasiri files response with party

Government sources state that a Cabinet reshuffle is most likely to take place tomorrow.


Accordingly it is reported that the new Cabinet of ministers will be sworn in before President Mahinda Rajapaksa tomorrow.


It is reported that New Ministers will be appointed to certain Ministries that were subjected to controversy in the recent past.


Although there were reports that there will be a change in the position of Prime Minister, sources stated that no such change can be expected.


Meanwhile, National Organizer of the Lanka Samasamaja Party Y G Padmasiri has received a letter calling for explanations as to why he voted in favour of the recent impeachment motion.


Accordingly the Parliamentarian is preparing to provide explanations with this regard by the 31st of this month.


Although the Lanka Samasamaja Party decided to abstain from voting on the impeachment motion, its MP Y G Padmasiri voted in favour, upon which his party politburo decided to call in for explanations from him.
