A meeting was held between former UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa and Senior party officials at the Sirikotha party headquarters last afternoon.

A party spokesman said that at that meeting MP Sajith Premadasa had expressed agreement on three points.

Accordingly the MP had agreed to express agreement to the decisions the leadership and the working committee takes and not to express views opposed to such decisions.

In addition it is said that MP Sajith Premadasa agreed to take action to promote the party and its leadership.

The UNP spokesman said that MP Sajith Premadasa also agreed to carry out the philanthropic activities he does as part of the party programme.

Discussion between MP Sajith Premadasa and UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe had taken place for the first time last Thursday.

Discussion with UNP’s senior officials was held yesterday as a second discussion in the endeavor.

Party General Secretary Thissa Attanayake, Chairman Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, Assistant Leader Joseph Michael Perera and National Organiser Dayaa Gamage had participated in this discussion.
