Opposition leader urges government to fulfil pledges issued to UN

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe states that if the country is to successfully face international pressure, pledges issued to the United Nations during 2009 should be enacted.

Wickremesinghe made this observation while addressing the C.W.W. Kannangara commemoration ceremony which was held in Mahamodara-Galle today concurrent to the 65th Independence day celebrations.


Moreover former Mayor of Galle Methsiri De Silva was also present at the venue made the following request from journalists.
