Abolish the 18th amendment for the sake of independence - requests the UNP

The UNP states that the responsibility of safeguarding independence rests with the government and that in order to accomplish that, the 18th constitutional amendment needs to be abolished.

UNP general secretary made this statement while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo today.
