The Tamil National Alliance today urged an international inquiry into the national issue in the island.

TNA Parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran expressing his remarks at a media briefing held in Colombo stated that it was perplexing to decide if the LLRC's report or the Militaries' report should be accepted.

Meanwhile Military Spokesperson Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasekara commenting on the recent report released by the military noted that the Board of Inquiries report was not an investigative one.

Meanwhile Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe speaking in parliament today inquired of the government as to whether it accepts the report submitted by the Lessons Learnt & Reconciliation Commission.

Speaking further Wickremesinghe noted that an environment conducive towards racial hatred and religious discord was permissive within society at present.
