Special O - Level exams begin today

The special examination for O – Level students who could not sit for the exam during December is scheduled to begin today.


During the month of December, students in a number of regions could not sit for the O – Level exams due to the effects of the inclement weather in effect at the time.


Accordingly, the special exam will be held in 50 centers in the regions of Chilaw, Tangalle, Monaragala, Ratnapura, Kurunegala and Matale where approximately 1800 students have applied to sit for the exam.


The department of examinations stated that the mathematics paper will be issued today, the aesthetics subjects will be issued tomorrow and the other subjects will be issued day after tomorrow.


Commissioner General of Examinations, W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara stated that the exam will begin at 9.30am today.
