Screening of 'Vishwaroopam' given green light in Sri Lanka

'Vishwaroopam' a screen play directed by seminal Kolliwood actor Kamala Hassen which was temporarily suspended from being screened in Sri Lanka citing reason that it fostered anti-Islamic ideologies has been approved for screening in the island.


Permission to screen 'Vishwaroopam' has been granted by the Public Performance Board subsequent to expunging two scenes included in the movie.


Chairman of the Public Performance Board Gamini Sumanasekra speaking to our news team expressed the following views in this regard.
