Secretary General of the Commonwealth due to arrive in the island.

Secretary General of the Commonwealth Kamalesh Sharma is due to arrive in the island this evening for a two day visit.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs the aim of Sharma's visit is to review the readiness concerning the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which is due to be held in the island late this November.

During the course of his visit Sharma is also due to call upon President

Mahinda Rajapaksa & Minister of External Affairs Professor G.L. Peiris.
