No space for alternate fronts

The United National Party stated that apart from the two main stream political parties in Sri Lanka, no alternate front would be able to garner victory at any poll.

Party MP John Amarathunga expressing his views to our news team stated that architects of such parties often vacate politics subsequent to a bitter end in politics.

Parliamentarian John Amarathunga's comments in this regard came in reply to a statement made by fellow party MP Palitha Range bandara yesterday.

Addressing an audience yesterday Palitha Range Bandara added that an alternate front would be established to defeat Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.


In reply UNP MP John Amarathunga had this to say.


Meanwhile 11 political parties are due to enter into an agreement with the United National Party this evening.

However party parliamentarian Palitha Rangebandara stated that he would not take part during the ceremony held in this regard.
