The case filed against Minister Rishad Bathiyutheen postponed.

The case filed against Minister Rishad Bathiyutheen for threatening the Mannar District and Magistrate judges which was scheduled to be heard today has been postponed.


When the preparations were being made to hear the case in the appeals court, the presiding judge Sri Skandarajah had stated that due to personal reasons he could not hear the case.


However, the court stated that the case will be heard on the 21st with judges Rohini Marasinghe and Deepali Wejeysundara presiding over the case.


Meanwhile the intervening petitions filed regarding this case were rejected today by Judge Sri Skandarajah.


The Bar Association of Sri Lanka, the Akkareipattu branch of the BASL and the Kalmunei branch of the BASL had filed the 4 petitions.
