The disaster Management centre states that 134 thousand 918 people belonging to 45 thousand 918 families have been distressed due to adverse weather and 272 houses were damaged.

15 out of the 71 reservoirs belonging to the irrigation department are overflowing at present.

Director of the water management unit of the department Janaki Meegasthanna elaborating further had this to say....

Meteorologist in charge Jeewan Karunarathne told our news team that showers would continue to seize by tomorrow.
