The corpse of an individual who was abducted from the Aththanagalle area this morning was recovered while lying in a rubber estate in the Ruwanwella, Galbemmma area this evening.

The individual who is a resident of Walpola-Welagedara had been abducted by a group of unidentified individuals in a van this morning.

The individual who has been identified as 37 year old Waniga-neththi Malith Niroshan had been abducted after he had made it home subsequent to attending a musical show in the Nittambuwa town last night.

According to his relatives the abductors of Malith Niroshan bearing T-56 firearms had identified themselves as police officers.

A son of the deceased described his father's abduction in the following manner to our news team.

United National Party Organiser of the Aththanagalle District Chandrasoma Saranalal expressing his views to our news team noted that the deceased was an ardent supporter of his party.
