Addressing parliament yesterday Deputy Finance Minister Dr Sarath Amunugama said that the government hopes to attract 2.5 million tourists by 2016.

UNP MP Harsha De Silva also expressed his views.

During the debate Deputy Health minister Lalith Dissanayaka also expressed his views.

Meanwhile, an interesting conversation took place between Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abewardana, MP Ravi Karunanayaka and Speaker Chamal Rajapakse regarding the fertiliser subsidy.
