The 22nd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is all set to get underway in Geneva today commencing at 1.30 pm local time.

The Sri Lankan delegation headed under the patronage of the President's special envoy on human rights, Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe is scheduled to leave for Geneva today.

Meanwhile Minister Samarasinghe will be addressing the UNHRC session on Wednesday at 4.30 pm local time.

He will highlight the post war development activities as well as the LLRC recommendations implemented in the country.

According to sources Sri Lankan ambassador to Geneva Dr. Ravinath Ariyasinghe is also scheduled to participate at the UNHRC session.
