Ulama urges government to take on responsibility of issuing Halal certification

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama states that the government should take over responsibility of issuing Halal certification.


M.I.M. Rizvi Mufti, the head of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today noted that a similar method was being incorporated in countries such as Singapore & Thailand.




When inquired in this regard Venerable Kirama Wimalajothi Thero had this to say with regards to the proposal submitted by the ACJU.
