The District Court vacated the enjoining order on the Film Corporation prohibiting film directors to print more than 35 copies of one film.

Several film producers and directors including Director Somaratne Dissanayake had filed a petition seeking an order preventing the State Film Corporation and its chairman from restricting the distribution of the initial screening of a film to 35 copies.

The initial enjoining order was issued on February 08th while when the case was taken up, defence lawyers had requested that the order be revoked.
