Sri Lanka's permanent respective to the United Nations in Geneva, Ravinatha Ariyasinghe states that two parties continue to maintain vigilance over the island especially in the wake of the UNHRC's current session.

 

Speaking to our news team Ariyasinghe made the following observations in this regard.

Concurrent to the screening of 'No Fire Zone' a documentary depicting the alleged war atrocities committed by Sri Lankan security forces, the focus of the international community continued to intensify on the island.

 

Moreover the USA has already confirmed that it would implement a resolution against the island while India is expected to refrain from voting.
