The Police have arrested 7 individuals in connection with the theft of 10 million rupees from a businessman in Slave Island.

 

Police media spokesperson SP Buddhika Siriwardena stated that 3 policemen were among those arrested.

 

2 of the police officers serve in traffic police while the other officer serves in the Ministerial Security Division.

 

The police media spokesperson also stated that a part of the stolen money has also been recovered.
