No request to recall Sri Lankan High Commissioner

The Ministry of External Affairs states that no request has been intimated by the Indian Central Government to have Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India, Prasad Kariyawasam recalled.


The Ministry of External Affairs made this remark in reply to recent protest launched in Tamilnadu which urged the Indian Centre to expel the Sri Lanka’s ambassador to the subcontinent.


Moreover Director General of the Sri Lankan Ministry of External Affairs expressing his views to our news team noted that the government of Sri Lanka does not recognize the Tamilnadu provincial government on an official capacity.
