Bus unions prepare for a strike demanding a fare revision

The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Union says that within the next 48 hours, a final decision will be taken with regard to the date and time for implementing the decision to launch an island-wide  bus strike.


The union chairman Gemunu Wijeratna said that it had decided to carry out a strike thus protesting against the non revision of the proposed bus fare from midnight today.
