Ananda Sangaree states that public should compel TNA

Monday, 01 April 2013 - 13:14

Ahead of the Northern Provincial Council election likely to be held in September, the rift within the Tamil National Alliance has widened, opening up avenues for a possible split in the party in the near future.

The TNA is an amalgam of five parties - ITAK, EPRLF, TELO, TULF and PLOTE.

Only the first three parties have Parliamentary representation.

However Ananda Sangaree Leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front & former parliamentarian has expressed his dissent regarding the actions of the Tamil National Alliance.

Speaking to our news team Sangaree noted that certain parties represented in the TNA had been enslaved by cash.

When inquired from the Secretary of the TNA Mawei Senadhiraja if parties representing the TNA hoped on contesting the upcoming polls in the North individually he dismissed such rumors & noted that the TNA would be contesting as a party.
