Tense verbal feud between JVP & Minister SB

Speaking in Parliament today Premier D.M. Jayarathna noted that President Mahinda Rajapaksa had not only advocated the rights of Sri Lanka’s own Muslim community but had always acted with the intention of safeguarding the rights of Muslims the world over.


This was in reply to a statement made by Tamil National alliance MP R. Sampanthan.


Moreover a tense verbal feud erupted between Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayeke & JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayeke.
