The Sri Lankan Artists’ National organization says that it condemns the statement made to the effect that the show of films of South Indian film stars should be prevented in the country.

Veteran film star Malini Fonseka said so while participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday.

The Raavanaa Force organization handed over a petition to the National Film Corporation yesterday saying that showing in Sri Lanka  films of South Indian film stars who engaged in protests against Sri Lanka should be avoided.

Speaking to media after handing over the petition  Ravanaa Force convenor Venerable Ittaaekandey Saddhaatissa Thero said that  the showing in Sri Lanka films featuring Tamil Nadu actors should be banned in Sri Lanka.

However veteran film star Malini Fonseka said that her organization opposed the said statement of the Raavanaa Force.
