Accepting revised electricity tariffs is responsibility of government; JVP calls for refusal

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said people of this country have the sole right to decide whether the government’s decision to increase the electricity charges is reasonable.


He said the main reason for the electricity tariff revision is the high cost of production.




General Secretary of JVP Tylvin Silva said during a media briefing in Colombo today people should reject the revised electricity tariffs.
