Protect the environment; advice President

President Mahinda Rajapakse states that is it the responsibility of everyone to safeguard the environment that was protected by our ancestors in the past.


President Rajapakse stated that it is the duty of the nation to teach future generations how our ancestors dealt with nature.


The president made these statements while taking part in the ceremony to declare open the entry road to the National Namal Garden.


Meanwhile, Opening a new 10 storeyed ward complex built at a cost of 602 million Rupees at the Colombo National Hospital yesterday, President said there are major projects to improve the healthcare of the masses.
