Electricity tariffs increased due to CPC says CEB

The Ministry of Power & Energy today stated that it was compelled to increase electricity tariffs owing to the escalating cost of furnace oil provided to the Ceylon Electricity Board by its dispenser the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.


Secretary of the CEB M.M.C. Ferdinando made this observation when contacted by our news team in this regard.
