Increase of the electricity bill is a government's collective decision.

Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said during a media briefing in Colombo today that the decision to revise electricity tariff was a collective effort of the government.




Meanwhile Minister Champika Ranawaka of the Hela Urumaya, Minister Wimal Weerawansa of the National Freedom Front and Minister Wasudeva Nanayakkara of the Democratic Leftists Front have already protested against the electricity tariff hike.




Minister Wimal Weerawansa during a media briefing said yesterday that the increase of the electricity bill would not be a solution to the brewing crisis of the treasury.
