Partial lunar eclipse visible tonight

The first lunar eclipse of 2013 will be seen in Sri Lanka on tonight at 11.34 pm, local time.


The lunar eclipse will be seen as partial eclipse as the Moon traverses the Earth’s penumbral shadow.


A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon moves across the earth’s umbra shadow.


The partial eclipse will be visible over Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
