30,000 vaccination vials utilized to carry out abortions seized by customs

30,000 vaccination vials utilized to carryout abortions, calculated to be worth over 30 million rupees have been found by Sri Lanka Customs.


According to Director of customs Mali Piyasena the vaccines had been secretively stashed in containers containing potatoes from Pakistan.


Investigations regarding 3 suspicious containers had led to the discovery of the contraband.
