IUSF accuses Predeniya University of selling degrees; Vice chancellor of university calls practice 'general'

The Inter University Students Federation chargers that the University of Peradeniya has enrolled 10 students in an attempt to offer degrees for cash.


Convener of the IUSF Sanjeewa Bandara speaking to our news team noted that such attempts be-omens the privatization higher education.




When contacted Deputy Chancellor of the Peradeniya University Professor Athula Senarathna noted that such a practice was a standard procedure which is being done on an annual basis.
