Rainy weather prevalent in the South

Department of Meteorology says that rainy weather conditions are prevailing during the day in the South Western coastal area and the Western Province.


Duty officer of the Department Jeevan Mendis told our news team that this will spread slightly to the other provinces in the evening.


He warned the public to be cautious as thunderstorms could be developed during rain.



Meanwhile Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D.P.G.Kumarsiri says that the area is experiencing heavy fog in the evening and requests the drivers at wheel to take extra caution.
