Tax+placed+on+imported+potatoes+increased+by+a+further+10+rupees

 

The tax imposed on a kilogram of imported potatoes has been increased by ten rupees with effect from today.

 

According to the Ministry of Finance & Planning the special goods tax which was imposed on a kilogram of imported potatoes has been increased from 15 to 25 rupees at present.

 

The aim of the measure is to ensure a competitive market for the local farmer.
