Power and Energy Minister Pavitraa VanniAarachchi said in parliament yesterday that the Government was taking action to provide the relief in accordance with the pledge the President had made on last May 1st.

That was while participating at the adjournment debate on Electricity tariff held yesterday.   

Minister Vijith Vijayamuni addressing parliament yesterday replied to opposition member’s allegations.

UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara also addressed the chambers.

However, Power and Energy Minister Pavitraa VanniAarachchi reiterated in parliament yesterday that the Government was taking action to provide the relief in accordance with the pledge the President had made on last May 1st.
