Former CJ before Bribery Commission

Former Chief Justice Dr.Shirani Bandaranayke appeared again before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today.


Dr. Bandaranayake’s lawyers have today filed their objections on the biasness of the Commission members who are investigating the case against Dr. Bandaranayake.


Former Chief Justice Dr.Shirani Bandaranayake had been informed to appear before the Commission in connection with a case against her alleging that she had engaged in suspicious financial transactions.


Her lawyers told our news team that the charges are baseless and they filed objections against such unfounded allegations.
