Ministry does not possess private university powers says UGC

The University Grants Commission states that the Ministry of education has not acquired the powers to offer degrees through private universities.


Chairman of the UGC Professor Kshanika Hirimburegama made this observation in reply to a question posed by convener of the Inter University students Federation Sanjeewa Bandara.
