The storm Mahasen has moved closer to Sri Lanka and is currently 800 kilometers off the coast of Mulativu.

 

Due to the effects of the storm, the sea from Jaffna to Hambantota will be rough and heavy winds and rain can also be expected.

 

Duty meteorologist Channa Rodrigo stated that the public should refrain from all fishing and naval activities off the coast of the East coast.
