The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says that an inquiry will be held with regard to the temporary stoppage of the refinery activities of the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery.

CPC managing director Susantha de Silva said that it was a matter for questioning why crude oil had not been imported till the Refinery stores became empty.

The CPC Managing Director told our news team that accordingly an inquiry would be held and necessary disciplinary action  taken against officials connected with it.

The CPC yesterday decided to close down the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery for five days due to the lack of crude oil for refining.
