Union Minister of State in the Indian Prime Minister’s Office V. Narayanasamy welcomed the Tamil Nadu government’s denial of permission for a public meeting by the Naam Tamizhar Iyakkam, which had invited the Kashmir separatist leader Yasin Malik, in Cuddalore on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, the Minister said the NTI chief, Seeman, was openly supporting the banned Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, eulogising the LTTE, along with Malik was unacceptable.
The Miniter said Seeman should have been arrested for displaying banners and posters of LTTE chief Prabhakaran.
The party had held an indoor meeting in Cuddalore after it was denied permission for a public one.
Answering a question, Narayanasamy said the Tamil Nadu government should keep a watch on his activities.
However, if Seeman’s activities affected the country’s interest, the Central government would take suitable action.
