The parliament was adjourned till tomorrow 1pm as the adjournment debate had not been entered in the day’s order paper.

Several orders under the Motor Traffic Act were also passed without debate as it was agreed to do so during the party leaderships meeting.

Government had stated earlier that UPFA MP J.R.P. Sooriyapperuma was to present an adjournment debate on the Central Bank Annual Report.

The Opposition pointed out that such a debate was not included in the order paper.

Later a party leaders meeting was summoned and the Speaker said that a debate cannot be allowed if it is not in the order paper.
