President Mahinda Rajapaksa embarked on an official visit to Tanzania short while ago.
During his five-day official visit from June 26th - July 01st, the President is expected to sign several bilateral agreements of understanding with Tanzania to strengthen the economic, trade and tourism relations between the two countries.
The visit is expected to pave the way to strengthen the bilateral trade and tourist relations.
The President is also expected to participate in the Smart Partnership Dialogue Forum for Developing Countries scheduled to be held in Dar es Salaam from June 28th to July 1st this year.
This will be the first time a head of state of Sri Lanka is visiting Tanzania.
