2 individuals were killed when a truck collided with a train at an unprotected railway crossing in Ambalanwatta – Meerigama this morning.

Podi Manike train plying from Colombo to Badulla collided with the truck.

The deceased were residents of Mawanalla.

Meanwhile, 6 women were killed when a van crashed against a train at an unprotected railway crossing near the Aluthgama railway station on Tuesday.
