UN Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillai yesterday revealed her schedule regarding her visit of Sri Lanka.
Speaking to the Tamil service of the BBC she stated that she hopes to tour Sri Lanka from the 25th to the 31st of August.
The UN Human Rights Commissioner is visiting Sri Lanka following the invitation extended by the Sri Lankan government in April of 2011.
She expressed the belief that she would be able to witness the post war development in Sri Lanka and that she also hopes to meet with all parties concerned to hold talks.
However speaking further to Tamil service of the BBC the UN Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillai also stated that an international independent investigation should be carried out regarding the war crimes that have said to have taken place in Sri Lanka.
